PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The qualification aims to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform effectively in a Film and Television environment

Producer, Director, Video Editor, Cinematographer, Production Manager, Production Assistant, VFX Editor, Camera Operator, Lighting Operator, Scriptwriter.
MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Valid Identity Document
PROGRAM DURATION AND STRUCTURE
The program is done over a period of 12 months. It is made up of two semesters with each semester done over a period of six months. The program is available only in fulltime. The modules covered are as follows:
- The business of TV
- Communication Skills
- Health and Safety
- Street Law
- Interpersonal Skills
- Mathematics
- Media
- Project Management
- Electives (Camera Operations, Lighting, Scriptwriting, Producing, Directing, Editing, Sound)
CERTIFICATION
The department of Higher Education and Training (MICT seta) moderates the competency assessments issued in Formative and Summative Assessments. MICT seta awards certificates upon successful completion with competency of the qualification. This is upon the completion of Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) and 80% class attendance.
